We made our own MILK ROLLS filled with Salame Milano or Mortadella; we went mad with a lot of different uses of puff pastry…we made a “fake pizza” using a full pastry sheet topped with a mixture of soft cheese, cream and Parmesan as a base, then added broccoli, asparagus stems, mozzarella and Nduja; using a pasta cutter we made a variety of SALATINI, from a classic cheese & tomato to olives & capers, anchovies and of course – the kids’ favourite – small sausage rolls; one of the highlights was the ITALIAN SUSHI made wrapping a slice of smoked prosciutto with olive tapenade, goats cheese and rocket…UNBELIEVABLE!
