We all know how good the combo salsiccia & friarelli is on pizza! But have you ever tried to make pasta with the same ingredients, and maybe with extra Pecorino cheese and chilli flakes? If your answer is NO, please run in the kitchen now and MAKE IT! Again it’s super easy, quick and packed of flavours, like all the pasta we love to do.
Crumble the sausage with your fingers and cook it in a fry pan with a sprinkle of oil and a crushed garlic clove for about 8 minutes. In the meantime boil a bunch of broccoli. After 10 minutes they should be cooked and tender. Hand blend the broccoli with the garlic (from the sausage), a splash of water from the pasta, salt and oil. Cook the pasta half way through, transfer to a frying pan, add the broccoli cream and keep adding a ladle of water (from the pasta) at time – same technique as when you make a risotto – until it’s cooked. Just a minute before pasta is ready add the sausage in it. Sprinkle Pecorino, black pepper and a bit more oil…A TAVOLA! And if you like it hot..sprinkle generously with chilli flakes.
