FRITTO shop social enterprise

FRITTO SHOP UPDATE! Work at our shop has finally begun…exciting times ahead!

Fritto is about to open a shop in the next few months in Smithdown Road – Liverpool as part of the Council regeneration scheme known as “House/Shop for a Pound”, which is aiming to regenerate the whole area, attracting new residents whilst building a stronger community with new shops. We aim to build a space for the community where residents can both buy typical Italian bakery products and learn how to make pizza and bread from scratch through a series of baking & cooking workshops.  Our mission is to offer daily a variety of baked goods for the local community – bread, sweet pastries, Italian cakes – and serving the most authentic Italian coffees with a dedicated espresso bar.

When 5 years ago we saw this opportunity in the local newspaper, we thought that it could have been the perfect fit for us. Big part of Luca’s criminological studies were focused on concepts of urban regeneration and “crime prevention through environmental design”. We aim to build a space for the community where residents can both buy typical Italian bakery products and learn how to make pizza and bread from scratch through a series of baking & cooking workshops. As part of our social enterprise mission we’re also planning to offer training and work opportunities to young unemployed and young offenders “ENRICHING LIVES THROUGH FOOD” ❤️ We are very thrilled about this huge opportunity and can’t wait to be this our new home! Keep your eyes open for more updates…
